It
has been a while since we touched
base and lots of things have been
happening at the library and with
the Friends.
If
you have been by the library in the
last week, you know that the lower
level has been temporarily closed
for the installation of the long
awaited flooring project. Everyone
is excited at the prospect of
returning to a new environment! The
new carpet will make a world of
difference and the Friends can take
pride in the knowledge that we were
instrumental in helping finance this
phase of the renovations. We hope
you will stop by and see how fresh
and updated the lower level will be.
And please stop by our revamped book
sale area.
Would
you like to help us grow our
membership? Membership is down from
last year and we are facing more
support requests for library
projects and programs. If you know
just one person who might consider
supporting the Friends and our
efforts, and you encourage them to
join us, you could help make a
difference in our membership
support. You will see a link here
for our membership form, you can
print the form and share or you can
simply forward this newsletter with
a note of encouragement. Thank you
in advance
for considering helping us grow!
The
Trustees of the library are hosting
a breakfast meeting for all Friends
the morning of April 12th
from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Please set the
date aside and plan to drop by. This
is an informal gathering to show the
Trustees appreciation to the Friends
and to provide information on the
ongoing renovations and plans for
TPL.
In
conjunction with the new floor
installation in the Logan
Auditorium, the Friends have been
asked to help provide new chairs and
tables for the room. We will begin
our "Adopt a Chair"
endeavor very soon, watch for
details in our April newsletter.
Everyone will have an opportunity to
help equip the auditorium with the
much needed new chairs.
Our
April newsletter will have more
details on upcoming events for
spring and summer.
Remember!
It takes more than good books to
make a good library,
It takes good Friends.
Thank
you
Sincerely,
Laura
