Magill's Medical Guide is a  mix of accessibility and depth, providing general readers with an authoritative reference source that helps bridge the gap between medical encyclopedias for professionals and popular self-help guides. It is an up-to-date and easy-to-use compendium of medical information suitable for student research as well as use by general readers, including patients and caregivers.

Provides reliable information in a variety of useful formats including images, videos, and animations, experiments, biographies, definitions, news articles, and a searchable timeline that is updated monthly. 

Today's Science

Designed to bridge the gap between the science that students learn in the classroom and the discoveries pushing the boundaries of science today. Updated weekly, it explains important developments in biology, chemistry, the environment, space, physics, and technology. Information is provided in context, clearly explained and abundantly illustrated, so new advances are seen not as inexplicable wonders, but as resulting from the application of the same concepts and principles of investigation that are taught in school.

This comprehensive periodical resource contains full-text peer-reviewed content for over 10,000 manually indexed journals and reference works covering all subjects, including the full-text of The New York Times back to 1995 and NPR, CNN & CBC transcripts and podcasts.

A comprehensive general reference database which includes content from a wide variety of sources, including more than 150 full-text newspapers, hundreds of full-text magazines, national and international news wires, 2,000 complete works of literature, over 28,000 photos, images and maps, television, radio and government transcripts, plus a dictionary, thesaurus, almanac and more. Funded by the SouthEastern Massachusetts Regional Library System.
