All classes require that participants have
some prior experience using a
mouse and keyboard. This mouse
tutorial can help get you started.

Registration for each month's
classes begins the month before and will remain open until all
classes are filled.
If you need to brush up on your skills with the mouse before coming to a class, please ask the librarian about
the self-directed
tutorial that you can use to practice at your convenience.
Some course
materials are available online.
Morning and evening sessions are available. Choose the time that is most
convenient for you!
The
Computer Series
Whether you are new to computers or just want to use them more effectively, this 3-session series will get you on your way. Participants will learn how to navigate their way around an Internet Web page, use various ways to select options that are common to Web pages, cut and paste, enter search terms, and fill in on-line forms. The basics of saving files and efficient printing options will be discussed and the introduction to the Internet will demonstrate how Search Engines can help you find what you need. Participants should have a basic familiarity with using a keyboard and mouse.

Introduction to LinkedIn
This 2-part session will get you started with LinkedIn. In the first session you will create a LinkedIn account and get familiar with the basics. The second session will introduce you further to what LinkedIn can do for you! Participants must have basic keyboard and Internet skills.

Managing
Your (GMail) E-Mail
A continuation of “Getting Started” this class focuses on
keeping your mail organized, sending attachments, working with an
address book and other functions of Yahoo mail. Participants should
be familiar with using a keyboard and mouse, and should have a Yahoo
email account.

Introduction to Everything Google
This two-part class will teach you how to use the features in Google's advanced search. Take a look at other Google products -- Google Maps, Google
Books, Google Translate, even the Google pranks! Participants must have basic keyboard and Internet skills.

The Library Catalog and Beyond
Learn how you can use our Online Catalog to find books, DVD's, CD's and
more. This workshop will also show you how to place a hold on an item, renew items
online and manage your library account. Participants should be familiar with using a mouse and keyboard.
